We act as a Data Controller for personal data collected through our platform.

For Brokers:

Business details and services offered
Verification and identification information (where required)
Payment-related information (processed securely via Stripe)

Match Clients with relevant Brokers
Provide access to leads and platform functionality
Process payments securely
Verify Brokers and maintain platform integrity
Send important service and support communications
Comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations
Facilitate introductions between Clients and Brokers in relation to mortgage and property-related enquiries
We rely on lawful bases including contract performance, legitimate interests, legal obligations, and consent where applicable.
Where a Client submits an enquiry through OnTheLadder, personal data may be processed for the purpose of facilitating contact with relevant mortgage Brokers and advisors who may be able to assist with the enquiry.
We may share personal data with:
Relevant mortgage Brokers and advisors where necessary to fulfil an enquiry or facilitate an introduction requested by a Client
Payment providers such as Stripe
Trusted third-party providers that support platform operations
Regulatory or legal authorities where required
By submitting an enquiry through OnTheLadder, Clients acknowledge that their contact details and information relating to their mortgage or property requirements may be shared with one or more relevant Brokers for the purpose of responding to the enquiry.
We do not sell personal data.
We retain personal data only as long as necessary:
Client data: up to 6 years for legal and operational purposes
Broker data: while active and up to 6 years after account closure
Financial records: as required under applicable law
